It started in Tuscany...

It started in Tuscany. We had planned some great routes, using small back roads, which started off ok and ended up rocky and unrideable. Disappointed, we often had to retrace our steps and find less interesting routes. Later that week, in Sienna, we chanced upon a Swiss couple touring on a full suspension BMC (thought they made cars) mountain bike tandem.

Josh & Melanie - Their Scottish tour with an Orbit + Trailer

My girlfriend and I went on a bike tour through Northern England and Scotland last month. We had the opportunity to test out an Orbit touring tandem from JD Cycles. With somewhat complicated travel plans, we decided that the Carry Freedom City trailer would make for the easiest overall travel experience.

A five day tour of Yorkshire, Cumbria and Northumberland

As new tandem riders, we wanted to see whether we might be fit enough to do the Land’s End to John O’Groats ride on our shiny new Landescape tandem in the summer. Jonathan, as captain, has done several long-ish distance rides solo, but as an inexperienced 40-something stoker, I wasn’t sure I’d be up to it, so we decided to do a five day tour to see how we’d hold up. Unfortunately we decided to do it in January…
