My wife and I have just picked up our first tandem. We’ve only done 14 miles to get it home, and were giggling like kids all the way! We’re looking to meet up with more experienced riders, in the Durham/Darlington area. Is there anyone out there? Tandems seem to be a bit thin on the ground around here.
I’m a very experienced solo rider, but this is all new to me. Any advice to a pair of newcomers will be welcome.

Hi Dan,

Welcome to the forums and the world of tandems.  My advice would be to have a look at the Tandem Club website if you haven’t already, and possibly join the Tandem Club.  At £10 / year it’s good value and there’s lots of help on their website, including local area contacts

TC website at http://www.tandem-club.org.uk/

Enjoy the tandem and keep smiling, it’s lots of fun.
