Hi all,
I just wanted to let you all know that Orbit tandems are the best. My wife and I were totally newbies in cycling. Even more in riding a tandem. But we wanted to do something special and so we bought a shiny blue Orbit tandem from JD Cycles. The first K were a bit rough but it didn’t take long and we got into it. Thanks to the quick introduction we have got from Jamie on how to get onto, ride and get down from a tandem. After cycling home from Ilkley to Dublin we started planning our big trip across Europe. End of June we started in Dublin, went over to France all the way up to Sweden, across the Baltic Sea by ferry to Estonia and all the way down to Hungary. Finally we cycled into Austria where the trip ended. It took us 2 1/2 months to do the 5800K.
We cycled on all kind of surfaces and we never had a problem with the Orbit tandem. Check out our website for more information. http://www.tandemxeurope.com. We also tracked our self’s with a GPS logger so if anyone is interested in cycling part of it or even the whole thing give me a shout.

Very nice trip that you did. I am about to buy an Orbit routier pro and your comment is confirming that I am making the right choice. I already did few trips in tandem with a Bob trailer. This is just the best way to travel. Let’s bring more people into this.
