Our aging Galaxy Twin is now showing it’s age, with chips and dinks in the paint job and odd bits of rust starting to appear.

I’m looking to strip it to it’s component parts over the winter and get the frame blasted and painted.

Here’s where you lot come in.  Who would YOU recomend to paint your Tandem and why ?

My commuting bike is about to be resprayed by Overbury’s in Bristol (who built one of our tandems).  0117 955 7924. They are using some kind of zinc undercoating and an epoxy finish.  This appears to be quite tough, judging by my wife’s bike which was resprayed by them about 2 years ago.  It is however a bit drab, although being polished with Pedro’s Bike Lust made a lot of difference.  Previously it had had a normal enamel respray, (from the very fine Bob Jackson) which looked fine but started showing signs of wear very quickly. Bob Jackson do not list any other finish apart from enamel, but they are very helpful and reliable and may well be able to offer epoxy.
