We picked up a new Landescape from JD’s this afternoon in a stunning blue colour.
Just spent over two hours in the garage arranging storage via a pulley system from the roof ( purchased with the tandem ) and amazingly it all works, the car fits in and the door shuts !!
I will be laid awake all night now waiting for an almighty crash.
Hi Bosun, really great to hear that you have a new tandem, have great fun on it. And you will, I’m sure. and lots of laughs. They are FUN even going up hill, it isn’t the same as a solo, you both suffer equally. I think the secret to the hills is a LED front light, pitch black and a couple of pints. It works for us. Enjoy your tandem.
The frustrating thing is that we haven’t been able to get out on it yet as the stoker is working nights and it seems a bit much to drag her out of bed for a ride ( ooh er missus ) after and before a 12-hour night shift.
Hi bosun, now that is a shame, we havn’t had such a bad problem as you, our problem is we ride mountain bikes on one weekend and the tandem the following. Yes the Dawes double Edge is an off road tandem, but I feel I owe it to my stoker that she arrives home safely.
We did have three days on the Devon coast to coast, you would like that trip, we did. Pity your stoker work nights.
