Yes I know it is April and we should have been out before now but the Stoker has had ( and still has to a degree ) a bad case of sciatica which didn’t help in the pedalling stakes.

Anyway we set off from Tadcaster today on the first real trip since we fell off ( see previous post ).We were a bit wobbly to start with but after a mile or two we were away learnt to relax and had a very pleasant day of around twenty three miles or so with a stop for morning coffee at Bolton Percy and dinner at The Ship Inn , Acaster Malbis with a return via Helaugh and Wighill.

The Landescape performed faultlessly and the sun even came out eventually.

Anyway we are taking the old girl ( the tandem not the Stoker ) to Suffolk in a couple of weeks for some quiet country lanes and good Suffolk air.

Hi Bosun,

We’ve been to the Ship a few times, nice place for food and drink.

Suffolk - Would that be Blaxhall by any chance?  We’re planninng on being there with Landescape, we could have an ‘Owners Club’ meet grin
