I recently received an e-mail from The Tandem Shop ( Pete Birds shop I believe) which said they were the sole retailers of Landescapes and sure enough upon checking JD’s site they are no more.

This seems a shame as our Landescape has proved an excellent machine ( having said that we have not ridden it as much as we would have liked due to various reasons ) plus they seemed to fill a niche between the more expensive Santanas and the cheaper Dawes etc.

You are quite correct, although for 2008 we have extended the Orbit range, which now includes 6 different models, available in 2 different colours and we have increased the number of sizes available too.  So these will very nicely fill the gap between the Dawes tandems and the Santos and Santana tandems.

I was visiting oxford recently and spoke to the guys at the tandem shop in botley who informed me that although landescape may no longer be available at jd’s in ilkley they understand that landescape are to launch a new model sometime in 2008 so if you are interested it will be worth checking out the website - http://www.thetandemshop.com - for more information, although the site itself is currently one page so not much to tell you at the moment

We have had our landescape for over 3 years now and must say we are loving every minute, much better than our old orbit which we bought in 1996 from simon in sheffield
