So, what’s it all about?
Discover Tandeming is an opportunity to learn all about tandem cycling, whether you would like to “try before you buy” or just want a fun day out. Perhaps you are even considering Discover Tandeming as a unique gift for friends or family.
Our experienced team of tandem teachers will provide you with all the techniques and skills necessary to learn to tandem ride, including instruction on gear changing, effective braking and essential “lingo” for communication between riders. By the end of your day of Discover Tandeming, we’ll have you starting, stopping, and hopping on and off tandems like the pros!
A day’s Discover Tandeming costs only £50 per couple, and we provide the tandem, route guides and a rack pack to carry your personal belongs.
Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in the picturesque town of Ilkley, our ideal location allows rides on quiet country roads and lanes. Why not make a weekend of it? If you are travelling some distance to visit us, we will be happy to recommend accommodation ranging from campsites to exclusive hotels and charming B & Bs.
