Coronavirus update.

Visiting JD Tandems

We are open by appointment for test rides, so please get in touch to arrange a date. In order to maintain safe distances we are only having one lot of customers in the shop at any moment in time, we have been open 6 days a week for the last few weeks, but from the the 19th July we are going back to our original opening times, which are Tuesday to Saturday and we will be closed on a Sunday and Monday.

We have face masks available for use by our customers and hand santitiser. We are only a small team of 4, 3 of us have vulnerable family members to the Coronavirus, so please respect our wishes to maintain 2m distance. If we need to ride on the front or rear of a tandem with you, or be within 2m then we will wear a mask.

Tandem purchases

We are very experienced at advising our customers on the purchase of a new or second hand tandem. In fact, about 25% of our customers who buy a tandem have never visited us. We can recommend the model and size of tandem to suit your needs perfectly.

Spare Parts

The mail order side of the business is still very much up and running. Just give us a ring or order online and we'll get your order out asap.

Tandem repairs

Our workshop is operating on an appointment basis only. Please only arrange to visit us with a repair that is essential.

For reasons that are obvious our customers have been riding their tandems more than usual over the last few months. This has resulted in a greater than normal demand on our workshop. As a consequence of the travel restrictions very few customers were able to visit us. Now the travel restrictions are easing the demand on workshop time is about 4 times what we would expect. Obviously we cannot meet this demand.

For the next few months we are not undertaking any repairs that are not essential, routine servicing will have to be done during the winter.

We are also very happy to advise you by telephone, and with access to an incredible number of videos on you tube, most small jobs we can talk you through how to do from your own home.
